SiCoPS is a server-based content management and presentation server and a set of accompaning tools. It will enable you to perfectly present mid-size web content in a customizable, well-designed and well-organized web site. Because it's all dynamic, content can freely be modified with both visual and non-visual editing tools (HTML editors). The presentation server will take care of:

• HTML based, hierarchical content selection menus without frames and JavaScript for maximum compatibility
• Language negotiation: Documents may be available in several languages. SiCoPS will deliver the best suitable language available. It can inform the user graphically about the language of a document, if the language is not a known one.
• CSS style sheet formatting and embedding for maximum compatibility
• Document footers: Last modification date, Responsable contact person, Copyright message (configurable)
• Dynamic integration of external content (from other HTTP servers)
• Intranet content: Additional content may be served to internal clients
• Easy modification links: Internal clients may be given the option to modify a page directly (via GUI based editor and HTTP/FTP up/download)
• Content editing Content may be freely edited and added (access protection through Unix / Windows file system and HTTP/FTP services)

SiCoPS is easily configurable:

• Graphics are totally customizable to fit your needs
• Documents are stored as on a normal web site on a file system database. The file structure of existing web sites can be preserved.
• Access rights are preserved
• Menu structure can be easily edited through separate configuration files
• Integrates perfectly with your hardware/software structure (tested: Apache, iPlanet, OmniHTTPD in Windows2000, Linux, Solaris)
• Scalability through FastCGI modules
